Hack Title: ‘Top of the Class’
Hack Area: LLM Question-Answering
Hack Description:
It is without question that Large-Language Models (LLMs) have changed the way the world perceives and interacts with AI systems. Their widespread use has been met with keen interest and scepticism given how much their responses can vary in quality. Public adoption will require belief in reliability without reliance on complex, expensive compute architectures.
Participants in this hackathon must submit an LLM which is capable of answering general knowledge questions to a high level of accuracy. The question bank will be kept secret by the hack leaders, though users are able to augment any LLM with general knowledge facts in, for instance, a RAG system or to undertake re-training of a model. All models must have less than 8 billion parameters and be able to run either:
The test question-set will contain 100 general knowledge and reasoning problems in English which will be drawn from published and accepted quiz sources.
